The project is based on the idea of creating a new pedestrian path to connect the urban area, the Giardino del Guasto and the external terrace of the Municipal Theatre. The path begins in via del Guasto where an inclined pedestrian ramp leads to the Giardini del Guasto; from here it continues horizontally and connects the Gardens to the Theater terrace. The ramps, horizontal and inclined, also cover new volumes.
Inside them, starting from the basement we find: the rehearsal room (which also acts as a Theater Ridotto) and some related services. Also in the basement is the carpentry shop (which continues to the ground floor).
Large windows illuminate the underground rooms and allow passers-by to peek at the rehearsals sessions.
The entrance to the new volumes is also located on Via del Guasto where an internal ramp leads to the vertical distribution of access to the underground rooms and also acts as an emergency exit for the parterre of the Theater. On the upper floor, about five meters from the ground, there are the technical systems hidden behind metal slats.
